Music Meme - A Threefold Cord
Title: A Threefold Cord
Charaters: Kirk, Spock, McCoy
Rating: K
Word Count: 1950
Warnings: Spoilers for ST:TOS canon, including Amok Time, TWOK, TSFS, TVH, CotEoF
Summary: My first music meme, and I can't say I love the format, only being able to write until the song ends. But it was done for the TrekLit competition on LiveJournal, and it was fun. ^_^ 10 songs at random, one ficlet for each. Unbeta-ed other than a brief proofreading, as per the rules. And can I help it if my iPod mainly has Disney, 50s Big Band, and Star Trek? Try making a Disney song not slash or idiocy, and you see what happens. :P
Disclaimer: I don't own the songs or Trek,
Title: Natural Attraction
Characters: Spock, various
Universe: TOS
Rating: K
Word Count: 3,046

Summary: Written for Round Three of LiveJournal's trek_exchange. Prompt was Anything with Spock getting one-up'd, and the added note of Silliness is always worth it. Tried to work in a bit of Sulu and Chekov since I know the recipient likes them, though I've never written them much and so stayed mostly on firmer ground. Sorry for the low rating and fluff, but the original intent wouldn't cooperate and lost over to the powers of Silliness. I hope it's okay anyhow.

Oy, no journal entry since May? That just shows how much free time I've had. :(
Anyway, I wrote two novels since then, one for LiveJournal's StarTrekBigBang and one for NaNoWriMo (which is still missing the penultimate chapter, but hey), both of which can be found on my LJ and ff.net page. This has been my first holiday season working management in retail, and so you can use your imagination as to my stress levels...which is the main reason why I've not been around much anywhere except my store and my bed, not fit to be around, too tired to see straight, etc., etc. :blahblah:
Hopefully today I can use the rare day off to finish my NaNo
Well, the one-month paid membership I got for participating in Star-Trekking (https://www.deviantart.com/star-trekking)'s Shatmoy competition expired this afternoon. Helloooo, annoying ads and hijacking viruses. :(
Bad thing is that I didn't have time to explore any of the features for the paid account other than the viewing options. *sigh* It was so worth it just to not be attacked every six pages by some virus, though.
What the heck the designers here were thinking with this new "v.7" browser I have no idea, but I absolutely hate it. Hard on the eyes, hard to navigate, and extremely unprofessional-looking in my opinion as a designer. The point of a widely-used site is to be simple, uncomplicated, and with plenty of empty space so that eyes are drawn to the important things. Adding enormous buttons and expanding headers, etc., is not the way to accomplish this.
My eyes hurt so bad from trying to navigate this that I may just forget about looking at art period; it certainly is going to affect how often I surf this site.
Why reinvent the wheel if the whee
just wanted to say hi, and thank you so much for all of your amazing Star Trek stories!
I've just spent the last couple of days over on LJ reading all of the stories in your ST master fic list. So I thought that I would come over here and say what an amazing job you are doing and thanks again for writing!
